Legoland Windsor does not run its own branded military discount scheme, but serving personnel, veterans, reservists and forces families can still save through recognised verification schemes, with savings of up to 15% off tickets and up to 10% off hotel stays available at the time of writing.

The latest Legoland Windsor offers and deals are listed on this page and updated regularly, so you can find a genuine saving whether or not you use a forces scheme. Check the offers above before you book, then use the guidance below to see how the Legoland Windsor military discount actually works.

Does Legoland Windsor offer a military discount?

There is no discount code that serving personnel or veterans can simply type in on legoland.co.uk. Instead, the armed forces discount at Legoland Windsor runs through two verification platforms.
Legoland's own website confirms that NHS or Armed Forces members can access discounts through the Blue Light Card platform.
Blue Light Card's partnership page states members can save up to 15% on tickets to LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort and up to 10% off your Hotel Stay at LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort hotels, with savings reserved for people in public service roles including the armed forces.

Separately, if you are a Blue Light Card holder, or a member of UK Defence Discount Service, you may be able to receive a discount for Merlin Entertainments attractions via an online booking portal. Defence Discount Service also occasionally runs dedicated Member Days at Legoland Windsor, where the maximum number of tickets you can purchase is 6 and they are subject to availability, and children under 9 go free and can be added to your booking.
On those event days, children under 9 go free and parking is free
too.

There are exclusions worth knowing before you book.
All promotional tickets must be pre-booked 24hrs prior to the date of the visit to guarantee entry.

Legoland does not offer any discounts at the attraction on the day of your visit; all tickets must be pre-booked in advance. So turning up at the gate with a Defence Privilege Card or Blue Light Card and expecting money off will not work. The Legoland Windsor military discount has to be booked online, in advance, through the correct portal.

How to claim the Legoland Windsor military discount

  1. Check the live Legoland Windsor offers listed on this page first, since seasonal deals and short break packages sometimes work out cheaper than the forces discount depending on when you travel.
  2. Confirm which scheme applies to you: Blue Light Card if you or your partner work in the armed forces, or Defence Discount Service if you hold a Defence Privilege Card as a serving member, veteran or family member.
  3. Log in to your chosen platform, search for Legoland Windsor or the wider Merlin Entertainments attractions, and follow the link through to the ticketing page.
  4. Pick your visit date and complete your booking at least 24 hours before you plan to arrive.
  5. Keep your confirmation and any ID or membership card with you, in case you're asked to show proof on arrival.
  6. Watch for occasional Defence Discount Service Member Days, which sometimes release separately priced tickets for a fixed window and sell out fast.

Who is eligible

Blue Light Card eligibility is aimed at people currently working in public service roles, and its Legoland partnership is
reserved for NHS staff, teachers, emergency services, police, armed forces and social care workers
. Defence Discount Service is the wider Ministry of Defence scheme and covers serving Regulars, Reservists, veterans and the armed forces community more broadly, including eligible family members who hold a Defence Privilege Card. If you're not sure which scheme you qualify for, it is worth checking directly with whichever card provider you already hold, since the two platforms have separate sign-up and verification processes.

Other ways to save at Legoland Windsor

Start with the Legoland Windsor offers listed on this page, since these are checked and updated regularly and often beat the standard gate price on their own. Beyond that, Legoland typically works out cheaper the earlier you book, so an advance online ticket usually costs considerably less than paying on the day. If you're planning more than one visit within 12 months,
a Merlin Annual Pass gives access to the UK's best attractions from just £139 per person
, which can be worth it for families who return to Windsor or fancy adding on other Merlin attractions. Legoland also runs seasonal short break packages combining park entry with a themed hotel stay, and it's worth signing up to email updates so you hear about sales and new ride launches as soon as they're announced.

Legoland Windsor and the forces community

Legoland Windsor is owned by Merlin Entertainments, which supports the children's charity Merlin's Magic Wand.
Merlin Entertainments supports the children's charity Merlin's Magic Wand, which helps beneficiary children through three magical programmes.
While this charity work is aimed at seriously ill and disadvantaged children rather than specifically at the armed forces, it reflects a wider pattern of the resort working with community and family causes, alongside its ongoing recognition of the forces community through the Defence Discount Service and Blue Light Card partnerships.

About Legoland Windsor

Legoland Windsor is a LEGO-themed park and resort in Berkshire, with rides, live shows, building workshops and three on-site hotels. Forces families use it because it's one of the most reliable big days out for younger children, with plenty to do whatever the weather. 2026 marks a significant milestone for the resort, with a year-long celebration planned to mark its history as one of the UK's most visited theme parks.

Legoland Windsor military discount FAQs

Does Legoland Windsor have a military discount?

Yes, but it's not run directly by Legoland. Serving personnel and their families can get discounted tickets and hotel stays through Blue Light Card, and separately through Defence Discount Service, rather than through a code on the Legoland website itself.

Is there a Legoland Windsor veterans discount?

Veterans are covered through Defence Discount Service, which is open to the wider armed forces community including veterans, not just those currently serving. Blue Light Card eligibility depends on the specific criteria set by that scheme, so check your membership status before booking.

Can I use a Blue Light Card or Defence Discount Service at Legoland?

Yes. Both schemes have partnerships with Merlin Entertainments attractions, including Legoland Windsor. You'll need to log in to the relevant platform and book through their portal rather than paying at the gate.

Can I combine the military discount with other Legoland offers?

Generally no. Discount tickets booked through a verification scheme are priced separately from other promotions, and Legoland's own terms state that some offers cannot be combined. Compare the price against the offers on this page before you commit, since one route may work out cheaper depending on your dates.

Do I need to book in advance to use the discount?

Yes. Legoland does not offer discounts on the day at the attraction, so tickets booked through Blue Light Card or Defence Discount Service must be pre-booked, typically at least 24 hours before your visit.

Are cadets or MOD civil servants covered?

Defence Discount Service membership extends to the wider armed forces community, but eligibility for specific groups such as cadet force adult volunteers or MOD civil servants can vary. Check your membership status with the scheme directly if you're unsure.

Is Legoland's military discount available online and in person?

It's online only. You book through the Blue Light Card or Defence Discount Service portal in advance, then bring your confirmation and ID with you on the day.
