Auto Europe

The Auto Europe military discount on this site comes in the form of car hire deals that serving personnel, veterans, reservists, MOD civil servants and military families can all use. Auto Europe is a car hire broker that compares rates from major suppliers at more than 28,000 pick-up locations worldwide, and the offers on this page cut the cost further.

Using the Auto Europe deals

Each offer on this page links through to Auto Europe’s UK site, where the saving is applied to the booking. Reading the terms first shows which destinations, dates and car groups each deal covers.

1. Choose a deal from the offers on this page and open it.
2. Check the terms, including any minimum rental length or travel window.
3. Enter the pick-up and drop-off location, dates and times, then run the quote search.
4. Compare the suppliers, pick a car and apply any code at checkout before paying.

Forces families booking for a posting abroad, a visit home or a summer road trip can use the same deals. Each booking gets a voucher number, which, with the email address used, brings the reservation up again later.

Ways to spend less on Auto Europe car hire

Comparing suppliers side by side is the main draw. Auto Europe works with names such as Avis, Budget, Europcar, Hertz and Sixt, plus national and regional firms, so one search shows several prices for the same trip.

Booking early leaves room to change plans. Auto Europe says amendments and cancellations are free up to 48 hours before collection, so locking in a good rate well ahead of a trip carries little risk.

A cheaper quote elsewhere is worth flagging. Auto Europe says it will match or beat the price of a comparable rental found for less, under the terms of its best rate guarantee.

Driver age affects the final bill. Extra fees may apply for drivers under 30 or over 65 at the time of rental, so choosing the right named driver can keep costs down.

Setting up a free account speeds up repeat bookings. That suits personnel who hire cars often on leave or between postings.
