BHS.com does not currently advertise a dedicated military discount for serving personnel, veterans or reservists. The brand confirms an NHS discount and a student discount on its own site, but there is no published armed forces scheme through BHS.com, Defence Discount Service or Blue Light Card at the time of writing.
The good news is that the latest BHS.com offers and deals are listed on this page and updated regularly, so you can still save on lighting, bedding and textiles without needing a dedicated military scheme. Check the current offers below before you check out.
Does BHS.com offer a military discount?
There is no verified BHS.com military discount at the time of writing.
BHS is proud to offer a special discount for NHS staff, with details available on the website or through customer service
, and
the retailer also offers a student discount for those with budget constraints
. Neither of these confirmations extends to serving military personnel, veterans, reservists or MOD civil servants on the official BHS.com site.
You may see third-party pages claiming a 10% forces discount for BHS, but these are not hosted on BHS.com and are not confirmed by the brand, Defence Discount Service or Blue Light Card. Older forum discussions from before 2016 mention Blue Light Card being accepted in BHS high street stores, but that was the original department store chain, which closed its last UK shop that year.
BHS.com was relaunched in October 2018 by the Manchester-based firm Litecraft Group Ltd, using the BHS brand under license from Al Maya Group, mainly to sell lighting products
, so any historic in-store arrangement does not carry over to the current online business. Until an armed forces discount is published directly on BHS.com, the safest route to a genuine saving is the offers listed on this page.
How to get the best price at BHS.com
- Check the live BHS.com offers listed on this page before you shop, since these are updated regularly and reflect current promotions.
- Sign up to the BHS.com newsletter, which gives new customers a discount on their first order.
- Browse the dedicated offers and clearance pages on BHS.com for reduced-price lighting, bedding and textiles.
- Add enough to your basket to clear the free UK delivery threshold rather than paying for shipping separately.
- Keep an eye on seasonal sale events, when discounts across lighting and home ranges tend to be at their deepest.
Who is eligible
Because there is no dedicated BHS.com military discount to apply for, eligibility is not something you need to prove here. The offers on this page are open to everyone in the forces community, including serving Regulars, Reservists, veterans, cadet forces adult volunteers, MOD civil servants, and forces spouses and partners doing the family shop.
Other ways to save at BHS.com
Start with the BHS.com offers listed on this page, since these are checked and refreshed regularly. Beyond that, BHS.com runs its own promotions worth knowing about.
The retailer's offers page advertises up to 50% off selected lines, with lights and lamps to brighten your home before stock runs out
, at the time of writing.
New customers can also get 10% off their first order by joining the BHS.com newsletter
. On delivery,
BHS.com offers free UK delivery on all orders over £16
, which is a low threshold compared with many home retailers and easy to hit on a single lighting or bedding order.
About BHS.com
BHS.com sells lighting and textiles under the historic British Home Stores brand, relaunched in October 2018 under license from Al Maya Group
. The site focuses on
wall lights, ceiling lights, chandeliers, floor and table lamps, bedding and towels
rather than the wider department store range the BHS name once carried. Forces families use it for straightforward, no-nonsense home basics, whether they are furnishing a quarter, a first home after service, or simply refreshing a room between postings.
BHS.com military discount FAQs
Does BHS.com have a military discount?
No. BHS.com does not currently publish a military discount on its own site, and there is no listing through Defence Discount Service or Blue Light Card at the time of writing. The offers on this page are the most reliable way to save right now.
Is there a BHS.com veterans discount?
There is no separate veterans discount at BHS.com. Any forces discount, if introduced, would typically also cover veterans, but nothing is confirmed on the retailer's own site at the time of writing.
Can I use a Blue Light Card or Defence Discount Service at BHS.com?
Not currently. BHS.com is not listed as a partner on Defence Discount Service, and Blue Light Card does not show an active BHS.com offer. Older mentions of Blue Light Card working in BHS stores relate to the original high street chain, which closed in 2016, not the current online lighting business.
Does BHS.com offer an NHS discount?
Yes, BHS is proud to offer a special discount for NHS staff as a token of appreciation for their service
. This is separate from any forces discount and is not automatically extended to military personnel.
Can I combine a BHS.com discount code with other offers?
Discount and voucher codes do not work in conjunction with other offers, so it is worth checking that products in your basket are not already subject to another discount
before you try to add a code at checkout.
What is the cheapest way to shop at BHS.com?
Check the live offers listed on this page first, then look at the BHS.com sale section for reduced lighting and textiles, sign up to the newsletter for a first-order discount, and build your basket past the free delivery threshold to avoid paying for shipping.
Will BHS.com launch a forces discount in future?
There is no announced plan for a BHS.com military discount at the time of writing. If that changes, this page will be updated, so it is worth checking back before you place a large order.
Browse the current BHS.com offers listed on this page to see the live deals available today, and take a look at our wider home and garden discounts for more ways to furnish your space for less. For every verified forces discount we track, visit our military discount offers page.
