NordVPN

NordVPN does not run its own standalone armed forces discount scheme on nordvpn.com. Instead, serving personnel, reservists, veterans and MOD civil servants can access a NordVPN discount code through Blue Light Card membership, verified by service documentation rather than a code shared publicly online.

The latest NordVPN offers and deals are listed on this page and updated regularly, so you can lock in a lower price on a VPN plan whether or not you hold a Blue Light Card. Scroll down to see what is currently live before you head to checkout.

Does NordVPN offer a military discount?

There is no dedicated "NordVPN military discount" page on the brand's own website. NordVPN's official coupon page focuses on general seasonal deals, a student offer, and its referral programme, with no mention of a forces-specific rate.
You can also find NordVPN savings outside of this page, with new and exclusive codes appearing regularly through partners and newsletters as well as seasonal campaigns.

The confirmed route into a NordVPN discount for the UK forces community is Blue Light Card, which is operated by Blue Light Card Ltd, the same company behind the Defence Discount Service.
Blue Light Card confirms that members can access a NordVPN discount code to save on online security and VPN plans.
To redeem it,
you log in to your Blue Light Card account, visit the NordVPN offer page, copy the discount code, then paste it at checkout on the NordVPN website after selecting a plan.
Always check the current terms in your account, as
eligible plans, exclusions or promotional restrictions can change
. Because this runs through Blue Light Card rather than NordVPN directly, treat any specific percentage you see quoted elsewhere with caution and confirm the live rate inside your Blue Light Card account before you buy.

You should be wary of third-party sites promising an automatic "military discount code" with no verification required. Several of these are US-focused and, when checked, simply mirror NordVPN's standard public offer rather than a genuine forces-only rate. The safest, verified path for UK members remains a Blue Light Card login.

How to claim the NordVPN military discount

1. Check the live NordVPN offers listed on this page first, as these are open to everyone and often match or beat verification-only rates.
2. If you already hold a Blue Light Card, log in to your account and search for the NordVPN offer page.
3. Copy the unique discount code shown in your account.
4. Head to nordvpn.com, choose the plan length and tier that suits you, then paste the code at the payment step.
5. Confirm the discount has applied before completing your purchase, and keep your receipt in case you need the 30-day money-back guarantee.
6. If you don't yet hold a Blue Light Card, weigh up whether the membership fee is worth it against the offers already available on this page.

Who is eligible

Blue Light Card eligibility for the armed forces community is broad.
Serving or retired members of the Armed Forces can sign up, and Armed Forces and MOD personnel can enjoy exclusive discounts across various sectors.
Veterans are explicitly covered too:
those who have retired from HM Armed Forces are eligible and should select the HM Armed Forces Veteran option when signing up.
Reservists are also included, since
applicants can be a serving or reserve member of the Armed Forces, a veteran, a bereaved family member, an employed MoD Civil Servant, or a retired MoD Civil Servant.
Cadet force adult volunteers and MOD civilian contractors are not automatically covered under the same categories, so check the eligible professions list before applying. Spouses and partners are not covered directly through the armed forces categories but may qualify under their own Blue Light Card eligible profession if applicable.

Other ways to save at NordVPN

The NordVPN offers and deals listed on this page are the quickest way to cut the cost of a subscription without any verification step, so check these first. Beyond that, NordVPN's own site runs several genuine ways to reduce the price:

• Longer subscription plans (2-year or multi-year) work out significantly cheaper per month than paying monthly.
• NordVPN runs deals around events and occasions such as Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and birthdays, and students can also get a discount by verifying their student status.
• NordVPN's referral programme rewards you for inviting friends to subscribe, giving you 3 free months while your friend receives 1 to 3 free months depending on the plan they choose.
• All NordVPN subscriptions come with a 30-day money-back guarantee, so you can try a plan risk-free before committing long term.

If you are comparing broadband and connectivity costs more widely, our TV and Broadband offers and Mobile Phones deals are also worth a look, particularly if you are setting up connectivity ahead of a posting.

About NordVPN

NordVPN is a virtual private network provider used to encrypt internet traffic, hide browsing activity from public Wi-Fi snoopers and access content while abroad. Forces families use it for exactly these reasons: securing devices on unfamiliar hotel or base networks, keeping banking and family communications private during postings overseas, and streaming UK content while stationed or deployed away from home. Plans typically cover multiple devices at once, which suits households juggling phones, laptops and tablets across different family members.

NordVPN military discount FAQs

Is there a NordVPN veterans discount?

Veterans can access a NordVPN discount code through Blue Light Card by
selecting the HM Armed Forces Veteran option when signing up
and providing proof of service. There is no separate veterans-only code direct from NordVPN itself.

Can I use a Blue Light Card or Defence Discount Service at NordVPN?

Yes for Blue Light Card, which confirms a NordVPN discount code is available to verified members. Defence Discount Service and Blue Light Card are run by the same company, so eligibility criteria are closely aligned, but you should check inside your specific account for the live NordVPN offer.

Do serving Reservists qualify for the NordVPN discount?

Reservists are included under Blue Light Card's Armed Forces eligibility alongside serving Regulars, so a NordVPN discount code should be available once your reservist status is verified with the correct documentation.

Are MOD civil servants covered?

Employed MoD Civil Servants and retired MoD Civil Servants are named as eligible categories for Blue Light Card
, which is the route to a NordVPN discount code for this group.

Can I stack a military discount code with other NordVPN offers?

NordVPN typically does not allow multiple codes to be combined at checkout. Apply either the Blue Light Card code or a current public offer, whichever gives the better price on the plan and length you want, rather than trying to add both.

Does NordVPN offer discounts for cadet force volunteers or family members?

Cadet force adult volunteers and spouses or partners are not automatically listed under the Armed Forces categories on Blue Light Card, so check the eligible professions list for your specific circumstances before applying.
