Maplin UK

Maplin UK offers a 10% military discount online, run through the verification specialist gocertify, covering serving personnel, veterans and armed forces dependants on most orders at maplin.co.uk. It sits alongside a wider key worker scheme, so the saving is applied at checkout once your service status is confirmed.

The latest Maplin UK offers and deals are listed on this page and updated regularly, so you can save on batteries, cables, smart home kit and more even on days when you'd rather not bother with extra verification steps. Whether you use the Maplin military discount or simply shop the deals below, this is the place to start.

Does Maplin UK offer a military discount?

Yes.
Maplin offers a Military discount alongside a Student discount, Healthcare & NHS discount, Teacher discount, Police & Fire Service discount and more, letting veterans and military personnel confirm their eligibility to get a Maplin military discount code.
This is a brand-run scheme rather than a general high street offer, and it's verified through gocertify rather than through a physical ID card check in-store.
There are three ways to verify: uploading a payslip, a work ID, or verifying ownership of your work email address.
Alongside those routes,
you can also upload a valid RAF, Army, Navy or Armed Forces Dependants Card
, which is useful if you don't have a service email address to hand.

Maplin also runs a separate
10% discount code for its NHS staff and Blue Light Key Workers, applied by entering the code at checkout for instant savings
, and the two schemes use the same gocertify verification technology. The military discount is applied online at maplin.co.uk. At the time of writing, we haven't found evidence that Maplin currently appears as a live partner brand on the official Blue Light Card or Defence Discount Service marketplaces, so the gocertify route above is the way to unlock it. As with most single-use discount codes,
you cannot use two Maplin voucher codes together on the same order, though you can use one code on one order and a second code on a later order.
Sale or clearance lines may be excluded, so it's worth checking the basket total before you check out.

Who is eligible

The Maplin military discount is aimed at
serving RAF, Army and Navy personnel, veterans, and Armed Forces dependants
who can verify their status through gocertify. Reservists and cadet force adult volunteers may also be able to verify using a payslip or work ID, though Maplin hasn't published a detailed breakdown of every eligible category, so it's sensible to try the verification route yourself if you're unsure. Spouses and partners are covered where they hold a valid Armed Forces Dependants Card. MOD civil servants aren't specifically named as eligible for the military discount category, though they may qualify separately depending on their role.

About Maplin

Maplin sells tech essentials including batteries, cables, PC and mobile accessories, cameras, audio equipment, electricals and security tech
to households across the UK.
The brand you'll recognise from the high street went into administration in 2018 before its name was relaunched as an online-only retailer in 2019.
Forces families use Maplin for practical, everyday tech — replacement cables, batteries for kit, CCTV and smart home gadgets — rather than big-ticket electronics, which suits postings, quarters moves and unpredictable leave dates where a quick online order beats a trip to a retail park.

Maplin military discount FAQs

Is there a Maplin veterans discount?

Can I use a Blue Light Card or Defence Discount Service at Maplin?

At the time of writing, Maplin doesn't appear to be listed as an active partner brand on the official Blue Light Card or Defence Discount Service marketplaces.
